This website is basically up to date information on Western Australian steam locomotives. Why? Because they are cool. I will be posting a new page on a loco whenever I have time.

4-6-0 Tender Loco WAGR G123

G123 First started out working for the West Australian Government Railways in 1897. It stayed working mainline until the introduction of more powerful locomotives. G123 was lucky enough to be overhauled and for use on the Leschenault Lady Vintage train in Bunbury and named Koombana Queen, alongside G233.

In 1987, G123 was leased to Hotham Valley Railway and used on the line to Etmylin from Dwellingup. G123 is currently out of service to due to need of an engine brake cylinder rolling ring renewal. It is currently being worked on, and may be ready for next steam season at HVR for driver experience courses.
